The Standard Requirements of the Techno Metal Post

The Techno Metal Posts are manufactured in our plants with quality materials that are compliant with the following standards :

Steel: conforms to the norm ASTM A500 grade C and CAN/CSA-G40.21-97, construction grade steel;
Heat galvanization: conforms to the norm CSA-G164M-92 with galvanization of at least 610 g/m2.

Structural capacity of the Techno Metal Post was designed and determined by the requirements of the reference book "Handbook of steel construction".

When required by standards, the Techno Metal Posts are installed following the technical specifications, precisely and rigorously attested by a geological engineer.

Supporting Capacity of the Techno Metal Post

In order to offer you a guarantee of quality and to obtain the CCMC and CSTB approval, numerous load testings were done by our engineers and installers.

Those testings were made according to the ASTM-D 1143 and ASTM-D 3689 standards (deep foundation), that are recognized internationally.

The results of these tests conducted in different regions of the world have allowed us to confirm the supporting capacity (compressive and tensile loads) of the Techno Metal Post in different types of soils.

All our calculations of supporting capacity include a security factor equal or superior to two (2) against rupture, that is if your project has a charge of 100 kN, the Techno Metal Post who will be installed would support at minimum twice the load, therefore 200kN.

The supporting capacity of the Techno Metal Post may vary according to the nature or compactness of the soils in place, but also in accordance with the diameter of the helical blade used.

Load testing

We have obtained results up to 178 kN (40,000 pounds) by Techno Metal Post in soils of dense to highly dense compactness.

Due to the technology developed, whichever project you may have, we are able to confirm the supporting capacity (compressive or tensile load) of the Techno Metal Post in place.

Load Measurement

For all projects that require load design, our engineering service carries them out in accordance to codes and directives in force.
