About Us

Techno Metal Post is a Canadian society that operates two plants and one research center entirely dedicated to the technology of auger-installed steel piles.

Our company designs and fabricates the specialized equipment, the Techno Metal Post and all the elements required to support permanent or temporary projects.

Over the years, we have developed a network of experienced dealers who offers the Techno Metal Post system, a technology reliable and recognized by the authorities concerned, construction professionals and thousand of clients.

Techno Metal Post is constantly active in research and development in order to offer the best auger-installed steel piles foundation system to its certified installers and to the people who uses our technology.

History

Techno Metal Post was founded in 1993 in Thetford Mines, Québec.

The company's initial vision was to provide the residential Québec market with the best helical pile foundations.

With the passing years, Techno Metal Post has been expanding to a wider range of activities. Its technology is now being applied in various countries by its constantly growing franchisees’ network.

The projects that have been realized using TMP's technology are now covering commercial, industrial, touristic, and recreational applications.

In 2007, Techno Metal Post is offering its foundation solutions in Canada, the United States, France, Belgium, and Luxembourg.

Time Line

1993	Foundation of Techno Metal Post. The company assembles the Techno Metal Post, markets and develops the installation equipment.

1994	Creation of the first three franchises.

1996	Expansion of the assembly installations, addition of four other franchises.

1998	Techno Metal Post starts the assembly of the R2D-Post equipment. New distributors join the network. The company moves to larger premises. The Engineering Department is created. Trademarks are registered.

2000	Techno Metal Post bases its growth on 22 dealers in Québec. A dealership opens in Russia. American contractors are interested in the technology.

2001	The new Department of Mechanical Engineering is now responsible for the research and development of specialized equipments. A new line of R2D-Post is available Techno Metal Post automated machining module is in production. Among the new dealers, one is in Ontario and another one in the United States.

2002	The CCMC (Canadian Construction Materials Centre) certifies that Techno Metal Post technology meets the requirements of the National Building Code of Canada. The underpinning technology is developed.

2003	In view of increasing production growth, the company acquires a new industrial building and an 11,000 m2 warehouse. "Techno Pieux France" is created.

2004	The network of dealers has now 36 franchises in Canada and 3 in the United States. Techno Protection is added to the Techno Metal Post system. Techno Metal Post is now present in the United States.

2005	R&D makes it possible to digitize the allowable bearing capacity at the time of installation. The R2D-Post is now available in a heavy-duty series.

2006	Our plant manufactures over 60,000 Techno Metal Posts distributed worldwide. In France, the CSTB (Centre scientifique et technique du bâtiment) issues a Technical Assessment in favour of our technology. Techno Metal Post is created in Belgium.

2007	Techno Metal Post now owns a second plant on a 15,500 m² property.
